Flipping Through Vintage Paperbacks
I strode past the corner bakery and stopped right in front of the secondhand bookstore's sidewalk display. A battered green timber crate sat perched on two milk crates, filled with stacks of vintage rock biographies and sci-fi paperbacks. I hooked my shopping bags securely into the crook of my elbow, planting my feet firm against the pavement. Flipping through the creased cardstock spines with two fingers, I hauled out a pocket-sized paperback with bold yellow lettering and dog-eared corners. After flipping open the front cover to check the vintage print date, I tapped the spine flat against my palm. Pure vintage gold. #books
