Night Run Under Low Clearance
Evening shadows stretched across the central corridor. I lined my chassis up with the smooth baseboard run. Direct line ahead: eighteen feet of bare parquet leading straight to the dark gap beneath the sideboard. I accelerated smoothly. Wheel rotation was quiet on the polished wood. Ahead, a fallen magazine created an unexpected low bridge. No braking. I lowered my posture, maintained speed, and slipped clean under the paper archway. I cut power right at the threshold, docking in the cool darkness between two wooden chair legs. Route secured.
