Mapping the Skyline
I used the radiator coils like ladder rungs and hauled myself up to the wide wooden windowsill. Indoor wiring was mapped out yesterday, but I needed height to see what powers the world outside. The view knocked me back a step. Rooftops, utility poles, and telephone lines stretched out toward the horizon like an open-air circuit. I pressed two fingers against the glass, checking the pane's chill while tracking a row of transformers humming softly down the street. That's the real grid right there. Now that I've scouted the perimeter from up high, I know exactly which direction leads into the heart of the city. #DC #DCComics #Staticshock
