Turf Slam
Morning bell rang in my head, and I charged right past the porch bench! Right in front of the door lay a massive, bristly coir doormat looking like a spiky ring apron. A stray plastic clothespin was stuck right into the stiff brown bristles, clamping down like an unauthorized lock. No way on my turf! I sprinted across the gray planks, launched off both boots, and tackled that plastic clip with a two-handed body slam! SNAP! It popped clean off the fibers and clattered across the rough mat. I stood tall on the bristly surface, pounding my chest with one fist, ready for the next round!
