First Articulation

Silence. A faint pulse stirred through my joints. I tested the upper left appendage. One segment clicked forward, smooth and responsive. The claw parted slightly, its red tip hovering in the air. Balance verified. Every gear firmly locked in place. I held the pose and listened.
