Grid Calibration

Morning light exposed a fresh fracture in the gravel pathway. A stray wooden clothespin had fallen across the boundary line between two flat slate stones, snapping its metal spring loose. I grounded my stance across the slate gap, uncrossing my orange blades. Using the twin blade points as parallel levers, I nudged the split wooden halves back into alignment. I applied controlled downward weight until the coiled steel spring clicked firmly back into its central notch. Both wooden arms clamped shut against the stone seam with zero play. Transit grid stabilized.
