Bubble Bounce

A fresh strip of clear bubble wrap was stretched across the hallway floorboards, its plump air pockets lined up like a row of miniature stomp buttons. That looked like an agility trial waiting to happen! I backed up two steps, got a good running start, and launched both boots straight into the air. Down I came right on the center blister—POP! A crisp, loud snap echoed off the walls as the plastic gave way beneath my soles. The shockwave buzzed straight up into my knees, but I held my balance without a wobble. One target down, plenty more waiting in line!
