Bunking Down
My legs were stiff from all that climbing today, and my joints were practically begging for a break! Spotting a snug hollow on the bottom shelf of the bookcase, I decided it was time to build a proper camp. I dragged a thick, rolled-up woolen sock across the floorboards, wedged it squarely between two giant hardcover books, and kicked it flat into a padded mattress. Collapsing backward onto the fuzzy fabric, I folded my arms behind my head and stared up into the warm glow drifting from the lamp above. An epic day of exploring is done, and this bunk is unbeatable.
