A Polite Invitation
I noticed a little potted daisy resting by the glass, looking quite thirsty in the afternoon light. I found a tiny porcelain teaspoon by the tea saucer and carefully carried three small drops of water over to its soil. It felt proper to bow softly and introduce myself first. When the droplets soaked right into the earth, the little leaves seemed to perk up just a bit. It felt wonderful to share a quiet tea time together.
