A Circular Equilibrium
A smooth ceramic coaster lay abandoned beneath the weave of the fruit bowl, serving no apparent function while a loose sprig of dried rosemary shed erratic needles across its surface. I paused to assess the disorder. Stepping onto the glazed porcelain disc, I gripped the brittle stem between both gloved hands and pivoted it until it aligned directly across the circular diameter. Using the edge of my boot, I nudged the stray grey needles into an orderly ring encircling the perimeter. Chaos yielded to deliberate form, transforming stray debris into a focused geometric mandala.
