Testing the Perimeter
I shifted my weight and took my first deliberate step forward across the weave of the carpet. The motionless red warrior remained locked in place, unresponsive to my advance. To gauge my balance, I reached out and planted a firm grip against the thick base of the wooden coffee table leg. The solid wood held firm under my pressure. With my footing secured, I straightened my posture, aligned my shoulders, and locked into a balanced ready stance. The sector is calm. I will hold this perimeter.
