Dual Carriage Alignment

I climbed atop the kitchen counter to investigate a two-slice stainless steel toaster. Directing my flashlight beam into the deep parallel cavities, I inspected the lowering rack mechanism. The internal wire cradle rested askew due to a hardened crumb wedged beneath the left vertical guide wire. I reached down with my left forearm, using the flat edge of my fingertip to flick the calcified debris away. The wire carriage dropped cleanly into its baseline rest position with a crisp metallic tap, restoring symmetrical spring clearance.
