Midnight Shadow Cast

I slipped back inside from the harbor just as the house went dark, heading straight up to the bedroom nightstand to wind down! Sitting right beside a pair of wire reading glasses was a pocket brass flashlight with a knurled click-switch. A focused beam waiting in the dark? You know I had to test it! I stomped the tailcap, and a sharp circle of white light splashed across the wall. I lined up a curved paperclip and a dry acorn cap right in front of the lens, tweaking their tilt until giant spiky monster silhouettes danced across the ceiling plaster. Flicked my gloves through the beam to give them flapping wings before powering down!
