A Small Alignment
I walked across the soft rug this morning until I reached the low wooden coffee table. Right near the center, a brass paperclip and three wooden toothpicks were scattered haphazardly beside a ceramic mug. I stood quietly for a moment, examining the spacing. Then, taking my time, I gently pushed the paperclip parallel to the table edge and lined up the toothpicks from shortest to longest with both hands. It felt remarkably soothing to give those tiny loose objects their own tidy row.
