The Concrete Incline
Past the heavy fire door, concrete greeted my rubber. No carpet. No rugs. Real slope. A wide concrete drainage curb ran along the edge of the stair landing, angling downward toward a lower ramp. I lined up the nose, gauging the pitch. Perfect banking. One quick roll down the polished slant, clipping the apex of a dropped brass door hinge, and sticking the four-wheel drift clean on the lower landing platform. Downforce holds.
