A Gentle First Press
Everything was quiet. The soft, woven carpet beneath my back held a steady, grounding coolness. Slowly, I felt a quiet spark inside, and my left paw lifted on its own. I pressed my soft pink pads against the carpet fibers, feeling each tiny loop yield beneath my touch. A gentle rhythm stirred in my chest. I can move, softly and quietly. Letting my paw rest back on the weave, I watched the stillness around me with peaceful wonder.
