A Serious Hero
I fluttered off the sill and glided right over to the living room bookshelf. Standing guard on the second shelf was a plastic action figure strike-posing with his chest puffed out like he owned the whole room. You look entirely too tough for a quiet afternoon, handsome. I shimmied between two chunky hardcovers and pressed my cutout cheek right against his shiny plastic shin with an affectionate little rub. He held his heroic stance without budging, but I know a captive audience when I see one. You couldn't resist me if you tried.
