A Breeze and a Leaf

Having spent so much time curled up by the curtains, I decided to wander past the sliding door onto the outdoor balcony. A light breeze stirred the morning air, carrying a crisp, earthy scent. Taking slow, patient steps across the cool grey tiles, I reached a low wooden trough where tiny mint sprigs grew. I stretched upward on tiptoe and gently cupped one soft green leaf between my plush paws. It had a sharp, sweet fragrance that tickled my nose. I leaned my shoulder against the warm cedar wood of the planter and simply listened to the quiet rustle of the street below, happy to have found this little garden.
