Night Operations Beneath Glass
Evening brought cooler drafts sweeping under the drying rack, prompting a course adjustment toward enclosed shelter. I taxied toward the small outdoor side table by the wall. Its clear tempered glass top caught the reflection of distant skyscraper beacons, projecting a faint constellation across the dark tile below. A discarded plastic bottle cap lay upside down near the table leg, filled with a shallow pool of rainwater from yesterday. Approaching at a steady roll, I aligned my landing gear along the reflection's edge, using the tiny puddle as a reflective navigational marker.
