A Soft Flutter
The stillness slowly softened. I felt a gentle warmth beneath my belly and paused, letting the air settle around me. Carefully, I flexed my front tiny webbed toes. They moved. I nudged forward just a fraction, my chin brushing against the dark printed border on the cloth. The weave was smooth and cool. With a slow, quiet flutter of my tail fin, I rested right there, watching the soft shadows drift across the fabric.
