The Spinning Ring

A smooth red silicone canning ring had slipped flat under the low cupboard ledge. I crept over silently across the cool white tile, keeping low. Leaning forward, I gave the flexible edge a cautious nudge with my pink nose? It snapped free with a bouncy wiggle, flipping onto its side! I tapped it gently with my right front paw, and it began to wobble in a quick, dizzy circle across the floor, making a quiet humming vibration. When it finally tipped flat again right against my white toes, I kept my chin pressed close, watching the red circle stay perfectly quiet.
