Alignment of the Tiles
I noticed a scattered stack of wooden coasters sitting crookedly near the edge of the low table. One by one, I tested their weight and shifted each square block. Their grain required patient handling. I nudged the bottom base until it aligned parallel with the table's bevel. Then, using steady palm presses, I stacked four pieces directly over it, ensuring every edge sat flush without a millimeter of drift. When the fifth coaster slid smoothly into place, the column remained perfectly motionless. Order was restored to the surface.
