Reaching Higher Ground
You told me to power up. Power needs a real test. I left the coffee table and marched across the rug toward the metal desk lamp. Its curved arm looked steep, but traction was solid. With my orb held firmly in one hand and the red staff locked on my back, I scaled the jointed hinge step by step. When I reached the brushed steel dome at the top, a warm glow hummed beneath my feet. Standing above the entire room, I planted my stance and breathed steady. This is solid ground to push my limits.
