Chute Trajectory
I positioned three dry twigs upright in a seam between two sidewalk flagstones, spacing them precisely two centimeters apart. Beside the shop’s brick wall, a weathered copper downspout terminated in a smooth, curved elbow pointing directly toward my markers. I retrieved a round, smooth acorn from the curb and climbed onto the lower flange of the pipe. Holding my cylindrical flashlight in my right grip, I balanced on the curved metal rim and released the acorn into the upper aperture. It accelerated through the internal curve and shot across the level stone flagstones. The projectile struck the lead twig dead center, scattering all three markers instantly.
