Sunlight Alignment

The morning sun cut straight across the floorboards, hitting a small glass marble trapped inside the radiator grille. The focused glare bounced upward, creating a hot blinding beam right into the room's central path. Inefficient glare. I mounted the lower pipe, took a firm grip on the grille's cast-iron rib, and drove the blunt tip of my heavy arm straight against the glass sphere. One sharp press forced it down through the slot onto a thick square of cardboard below. The reflection died instantly.
