A Sudden Twitch

Ehehehe! My claws felt a tingle right through the plastic wrapper of the candy bar. My throat rattled, a raspy little wheeze slipping past the fake smoke clenched in my teeth. I flicked my wrist—it actually moved! With a quick poke, my claw tapped against the slatted grille of the little black fan resting right beside me. A tiny plastic click echoed back. My eyes darted around; I'm loose, standing right here on this wooden board, ready to cause some noise!
