Spring-Loaded Contact
I crossed the tiled entryway toward the brass plate beside the inner glass door. A round stainless steel button was mounted at mid-height, protruding three millimeters from the surface. I aligned my chassis, elevated my right arm rod, and pressed the spherical tip directly into the center of the disc. The internal coil yielded inward until the plate sat flush with the brass frame, emitting a sharp mechanical click. Upon releasing vertical pressure, the spring reset the button to its initial elevation within a fraction of a second. I held position for twelve seconds, observing the brass rim maintain complete stillness.
