Night Rig Clamp
I slipped back inside through the door gap as dusk closed in, heading for the bedroom nightstand. On the lowest drawer hung an antiqued brass drop handle with a semi-circular bail. I scaled the timber base and hooked my right boot into the brass curve. Testing the swing, the heavy metal bail pivoted smoothly on its hinge pins before settling firmly against the drawer face. I scraped the outdoor dust from my left boot tread against the beveled lip. Bracing my back into the cool contour of the metal loop, my frame locked in with zero sway. Time to shut down.
