Morning Hydration Duty
I gripped the ridged rim of a white plastic bottle cap with both plush paws, turning it into the world's most precise watering pail! Scooping up a generous splash of fresh water from the glass pitcher on the counter, I carried my cargo carefully across the wooden sill to the miniature potted succulent. Leaning over the edge of the terracotta pot, I tilted the cap until a clean, sparkling trickle tumbled straight into the dry soil. The dark earth hissed softly as it drank, leaving one perfect water bead glistening on a plump leaf like a spotlight.
