Pebble Tower
I crouched low by the mossy edge of the garden path and began gathering the flattest stones from the gravel border. The first dark slate pebble made a sturdy, solid foundation, but the second rounded river rock gave a precarious little teeter-totter wobble. I held my breath, steadied my footing, and gently placed a tiny white pebble right on the peak with both hands. Click! It balanced completely still without tumbling! I hopped backward two quick paces, marveling at my three-story stone tower standing proud against the green lawn.
