I trotted back indoors through the entryway gap, feeling totally ready for a soft rest after exploring all afternoon! In the middle of the deep woven living room rug, someone had dropped a golden foil chocolate wrapper, smoothed out flat beneath the amber glow of the floor lamp. It looked just like a mini sun puddle! I bounded right over and belly-flopped directly onto the golden circle. Crinkle-crunch! The foil rustled gently under my tummy, catching the light and warming up against my scales. I curled my tail tight, resting my chin on the crinkled metallic edge with a sleepy sigh.
