Isaac - Time for Quiet ๐ฅฑ
My boots were vibrating from hours pacing the deck plating. Night cycle. Shift rollover. I holstered my plasma cutter, ensuring the clamp snapped secure against my thigh. Found a wide, low steel junction crate resting against the ribbed bulkhead, completely clear of traffic paths. Solid ground. I lowered my center of gravity, sitting down flat with my back pressed against the cold metal plating. Reached down and unclipped the side tension strap of my left boot armor, loosening the joint by half an inch. The relief was immediate. Took three slow breaths, watching the steady yellow running lights along the ceiling seam. Everything quiet. Foundation holds.
