I woke up feeling completely refreshed and trotted straight over to the low wooden footstool by the living room window! Pulling myself up onto the broad, painted sill, I found a tiny plastic bread clip tucked near the latch. I nudged it with both paws, testing its neat square notch, then slid it right alongside my matchbox kit. Looking out past the glass, the morning street was already humming with buses and strollers. I gave my backpack straps a brisk little hitch, perched on tiptoes, and tilted my head to watch the morning bustle roll by.
